Hello guys and gals! I was nervous using my 5150 for bass. After everyone told me it would be bad and blow my speakers on my fender supersonic cab I said screw I like the sound anyway!. Its been 2 months and the vintage 30's sound great. No complaints! It sounds great...so people r wrong about the amp just lettting people know!

If you're happy, that's all that matters. BUT, people were not wrong. If you play bass through a guitar cab, the speakers are, in fact, at risk of damage.
I assume people said it would blow your speakers if you cranked the bass up, which is entirely possible when using a guitar oriented cab/speakers at gigging levels. I've used mine in a biamp situation, using the 5150 for highs. It also sounds great pumping into a bass cab.

I didn't actually try bass through mine, and I just stuck it in the shop to sell today. They do sound big and girthy with detuned guitar into V30s though. Decent sized output transformer says there'll be a fair wodge of bottom, but the amount of gain/compression going on means not much risk to speakers.
I have used iit with an old peavey 215 and it sounds ...alittle round around the edges on the highs though. Ii can't use the resonance up high so I put the bass freq. On 4 and the resonance on 5 and its thumpin.
