610 cab wiring

Have a empty 610 cab, what ohm speakers and wiring configuration would make this a 4ohm cab?

Then you will need drivers with an impedance of 2.7ohms.....

But, with 6 4ohm drivers you can create the following impedances:
-6ohm
-2.7ohms (you need a 3ohm stable amp)

With 6 8ohm drivers you can create the following impedances:
-12ohm
-5.3ohms, (this is the impedance you'll see with most 610 cabs)

To get 5.3ohms all you need to do is create three pairs of series wired 8ohm drivers and then wire these three pairs parallel, got it?

If you want 4 ohms, you need either 6 ohm speakers (in series/parallel) or 24 ohm speakers (in parallel). The only one of these options that I know of that is commercial available are the 6 ohm speakers for the ampeg 610HLF available here for $90 or here for $125. The issue you'll run up against is that those speakers are designed for a specific cab volume and porting. If the cab you have has similar dimensions to the 610HLF then I'd say go to town, otherwise, you're in a tight spot for replacement unless you can find someone willing to do custom spec speakers for you.
