Look big for a 212 cab. At least to me, it looks more like a 215. No price?

Looks just like the one McCartney used in "Let it Be".

It could be a 2x12.

It is a 2x12, a poor one at that unless JBL loaded, and this one isn't.

What something is worth.. hahha.. its not what its worth.. its what you negotiate!
It is worth what someone is willing to pay for it..
Was just at the Guitar Show in Arlington TX today and say that similar set up for about that price.
Problem is the vintage market is a but low... my old J bass was going for about 17k 5 years ago is now about 12k..
I paid 500 for it.
So it not what its worth folks.. its what the market will handle...

Thats a silly statement.. It would be like saying a Picasso is not all that great because the heads are on sideways.
Its a classic amp.. with a classic sound.. that many a great record were made ..
Music is an art form.. No rules...

Unlike a Picasso an amp is a tool, and the Bassman wasn't a very good one. In 1968 we all knew that Fender made a second class bass rig. They couldn't compete with the likes of Sunn, Ampeg and Acoustic when they were new, and they still don't on the vintage market. If that rig was a pristine pre-CBS Fender it would have serious collector value, but it isn't, and since it has very limited value as a working amp it's grossly overpriced.

No, I'm thinking as a musician. In 1968 I owned a 50 watt Bassman.

think you missed his point, as a working amp that bassmans not gonna be all that great and it isn't one of the more collectable ones.

It might make an okay studio amp though, although there are cheaper bassmans than that out there

Yup .. i did too.. and they record great these days. still use it through a 606 at time to record.
Sting used one as well as Mark from Mellisa Ethenridge band on the last few albums.. they work well well when miced up.
