Yeah, for the last year or so, it was pretty much my rehearsal rig - fantastic pairing, IME... Go for it - you won't regret it...

Well I have ran GK Head's(700rb,800rb,and 1001rbI and II and swr Cabs for the past 12 or so years...and they are a great combo. Had a Goliath Sr.with an 800rb head which has the same voice as the 700 with the 4/5 string button off...and it sounded Great!!. The Goliath Sr. is a very loud cab 110db @1w1m...but a lil lack in the lowend 5 string side of things at least for me that what i found. Depending on the style you play will depend on if you like the cab. For me i like a bit more bottom end so even though the cab was loud and had a lot of punch i did not care for the fact that it did not have quite the bottom end punch i liked...i now run a 1001rb II with the SWR Megoliath 810 and she is a beast!! Very loud and a killer bottom end. But yeah the Sr. may be just the cab you want she is built like Brick $h*t house and cab take most anything you through at it very well built cab and pretty eazy to move around!! ...SWR Cabs and GK Heads are a match made in Heaven if you ask me...I could not be happier with the sound i get from them!! you really cant go wrong with that cab.!!All The Best Cheers Mate!!~Elliot

I had that same combo for many years & loved it. SWR + GK was awesome. Went to a more portable setup once I stopped gigging out frequently but yes you will love that combo.

+1

I've been running a GK 1001rb with an SWR Goliath III for almost 2 years now, and it's my favorite tone. Clear, punchy, deep and a bit of growl. The GK head is a tank, too. It's never caused me problems, and I put it through absolute hell.
