ace tone?

my band is recording in a month or so and the studio has an ace tone rig i can use. i'll be bringing an orange abd-200, just wondering if anyone has any experience/info on this brand.

the ace tone i had was a cheapo from the early seventies.....under-powered solid state,from the days before gk et al figured out how to make decent sounding ss amps

yeah, I've seen pics and it looks like it could be the same deal here. maybe i can use it for an unholy 'interesting' tone. thanks.

Ace Tone produced some solid state keyboards and amps that I saw and heard in the late 60's. If this is the same sort of gear, I would do almost anything to avoid it, were I you!!!

you can get some good stuff going with unlikely suspects. bring the orange, but why not try the ace tone? might result in some awesome tone, might repulse you in ways you can't describe. either way it should be interesting.

yeah I'll definitely see if I can't get some lo-fi charm from it but the bets are well and truly being hedged.
