Achieving a 4ohm load ?

Sign in to disble this ad
If I want to achieve a 4 ohm load how do I run the cables from my amp to my cabs?

1 - 4X10 8ohms
1 - 1X15 8ohms.

Do I run both cables out the back of my amp directly into each cab on their own or do I run one cable from the amp into the first cab and then run the second cable from the first cab into the second?

I hope this makes sense.

Thanx, Kevin

Both methods are electrically the same resulting in a 4 ohm load.

Both methods will result in a 4 ohm load...personally I like to run cables to each speaker separately.

Absolutely right.
This is my preference as well.
