Yeah, cool.

For those who can't get to youtube:
In the video, Andy from Acme shows a few cabinets in various stages of production.

He knocks on the sides of the cabinet to indicate how resonant they are. First an empty one, then a braced one, then a braced one with stuffing and heavy coating on the outside. Finally he knocks on a finished cab.

I was kinda expecting him to play thru them, but he didn't.

The gist of it is the box itself is tight and quiet. After bracing the pitch is higher and decays quicker.

I liked the part about the grill and how dead it sounded. I never even thought about that before.

LOL!! Andy sounds like me (out of breath) when lifting relatively small, empty, cabs. Man, gettin' old ain't no fun!!

BTW. I've been using my Carvin LS1503 some lately, and notice that it is pretty resonant when knocking on it. I'm going to find a way to brace it, and add more damping material to hopefully make it sound better.
I think Greenboy addressed this some time ago, but finding that thread will be a task.

The woofer-only "Flatwound" version is available now. The woofer + horn full-range version will be available soon...
