I have a 126, which is a generation later but essentially the same idea. It's a small-ish power section with a five band EQ sitting in a cabinet with a bottom vented 15" speaker. I think it is probably an EV speaker, but I'm not sure. Anyway, it gets a little ratty sounding at times to my ears, but
that is just the '70s sound. The cabinet sounds great when driven by a 320 head or something like that. I got the 126 back in the early 1980s, and I still have it and still use it. It stays in the practice space because it has plenty of power for that and sounds good enough. I don't use it on stage, because there are better amps for that purpose, but it is a bomb proof, solid piece of equipment that is very good at what it does. Mine has had a grand total of two repairs in the entire time it has been in my hands. Not bad for more than 30 years of use and abuse. For $200 it isn't a screaming deal, but you will certainly get your money's worth.
Cranky old man. Cranky old bass. Cranky old amp.
