Acoustic 260 Used for bass?

Sign in to disble this ad
Has anyone ever used an old acoustic 260 for bass? Would it come close to a 360 tone wise because it appears to have very similar circuitry.

It's kinda a different beast. The 360 was simply a preamp and was connected to a 361 cabinet with a built in power amp. the 260 is a powered head and I'm not sure if the EQ controls are voice the same as on the 360. If it's got the same fuzz circuit - then you're in for a ride cause it's OUT THERE!

Yeah I understand the 360 is just a preamp. I was just wondering if the variamp and filter voicings are the same. I can get a good deal on a 260 so I might buy it anyways
