I truly don't mean that as an insult--just trying to let you know we need more information, so we can help.
Related to the things in your post:
Neither of those websites is "the original". The original Acoustic Corp went out of business a long, long time ago. A few years ago Guitar Center bought the rights to the name and appearance of the old Acoustic amps, so that's most of what you will find today: cheap made-in-China copies. There is also a new company making Acoustic designs in the USA, but they are still in the development stage, not found in stores yet.
Whether one amp is louder than another depends partly on how you use it. However, an SVT with an 8x10 is famously LOUD. |

William, your site is for the imported Acoustic stuff you get at Guitar Center.

The Doors with a wall of Acoustics (Hollywood Bowl): | According to the site, it is (3) preamps - 360s going into (3) powered cabs - 361s so that would be 1,200 watts. Each cab is 400 watts.
He took delivery of a total of 12 360/361 rigs.....

Acoustic USA pays GC for the privilege of using the name and appearance, but GC retains ownership of those trademarks, and they will continue to produce their cheaper versions. |

Or is it just for show? | He has 4 sets of 3 cabs and heads...one set is for the main rig, one is a backup, plus he has two duplicate rigs so his crew can set them up in the next city ahead of time. A lot of huge bands do that so they can bang out a series of one nighters without fear of their stuff making it to the next gig in time.

That's the way I understood it as well. GC owns acoustic and acoustic USA has licensed the use of the name.....
Whether or not they pay a royalty to GC I don't have a clue, but I would guess that they do.

Well thanks for clearing that up, guys. Now I know why George always poops on their product.

But really it's cool.....as I understand it, Flea is keeping up with the "jones'"....he has 12 rigs....
3 for the stage - 3 for back up - and 6 for leap frogging to the next venue........
Or, as Mel Brooks was fond of saying in the movie "History of the World"......"It's good to be da King!!"
