Acoustic B115 tweeter

Please forgive me if this is old news but I just fell off the turnip truck.

Why does the Acoustic B115 have a defeat-able tweeter? Just marketing? Seems silly to me. I don't remember my Dual Showman back in the day having a tweeter (yeah, I'm old too).
I have played keys, guitar, drums & trumpet in bands for nearly 50 years but recently switched to bass hence the name lastnotleast.

I have a B200H with (2) B115's . I know some will say it's a matter of personal taste but I would appreciate informed opinions on the matter. Thanks Mates

Some folks like a tweeter, some don't. Acoustic has given you the option. If it were me, running 2 of them, I'd disable the botton tweet, and run the top one at halfway.

Interesting suggestion I hadn't thought of, thanks. It's either on or off but I will try as you suggest.

Read a thread about tweeter for slap bass which makes sense. Other reasons?
