I have the B200H/B115 and am wondering if anyone combines it with the B210NEO. I like the idea of adding the 210NEO, but I've read from some of you that combining different size drivers does not deliver good results, but I've also heard about pairing a 15" with 2x10" can be really awesome. I love my Acoustic amp/cab, and would love to stay with them when adding more speakers, but I don't like how tall and heavy another B115 would make my rig. What do you guys think?

acoustic says you can use b115 & b410 cabs in any combo for that head. the b210 Neo is dimensionally different, and even though a little lighter, it is taller than the other 2 cabs. so you could lay it on its side under the b115, or put it on top and well....either way, have a weird looking rig. it might sound ok, though. as most will say, mis-matched cabs are a crap shoot. maybe take your bass to GC and try? or post on thread Acoustic Amp Club - Third Time's A Charmer. good luck!

If I laid it on its side it would be about 4" shorter than the width of the B115 (not a biggie if it's centered), and the exact width of the head. I think it could look kinda cool. Would laying it on the side affect the sound at all. I've heard people talk about standing a 2x10 up for better dispersion, but would there be any negative side effects of laying it down?

I was ckg out the rigs on the Show your rigs thread and there are plenty that might be considered different, but if sounds good, who cares?! still think the best advice is to go to a store and try your theory.

The Carvin catalog has conventional and neo cabs together in package deals. Just watch the ohm rating, I guess. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
