Acoustic B200h and B115 tone problems

Sign in to disble this ad
I just bought this package and for the life of me I can't get a good tone at a high volume

the bass I'm using is a Squier P Bass with dead dead strings. I'm looking for a tone like Krist Novoselic.

My question is, do I just need to mess with the eq more, is it my strings or is it just my cheap bass? It's making me wanna pull my hair out. Or is it just because it's only one 15 inch speaker?

And buying a new bass isn't really an option...but would new pick ups and new bridge make a big difference?

It could very well be that you only have one 15" spkr. Try it out using 2 of them, see how that works, (2 15's).

Thanks for the response. I had a friend diagnose it, and....I had a blown speaker

Luckily, I drove down to Guitar Center, and the guy upgraded my cab to a B115 Neo..for free! It sounds way better than my old cab did for the few days I had it.

Problem solved
