Hey...I picked one up last weekend at Guitar Center. I am VERY impressed with the impression of POWER and depth of bass. The amp is stable down to 2-ohms (the 600 watt rating.) I'm driving a custom designed and built bottom that goes down to 17-hz. It's like thunder.

As stated in another thread, these are rebranded Kustom Deep End amps for GC. If you like the sound of the Kustom stuff, you will like these. Don't know if you have tried Kustom stuff though.

I have no experience with their heads, but if they are of the same quality of their cabs I would stay away,

So it's Kustom that makes these and brands them "Acoustic"? Can you point me to that thread please? I'm a fan of the b200h.

As far as sound goes, not even close. The cabs are absolute junk, but I like the tone of the b200h. I have tried it with Ampeg and Aguilar cabs. As far as build quality, I'm really not sure but would expect that they are marginal quality.

Yeah, in my experience the cabs are terible, even for the price.

A Hopkins/grobe

Maybe I just don't have enough experience with cabs, but I have an Acoustic 4x10 and its served me well. I've played probably 25+ shows on top of normal use over 2 years and it's still playing well. Maybe you guys have just had bad experiences with them? I would like to get a higher quality cab though.

I also have the B200h and that things really roars through 2 4x10 cabs and a Sunn 2x15. It's been (a) great head for me

A high-powered amp with great tone and tweakage abilities for the price. Old-school SS, hence heavy weight and large size - accounting for the $$ savings, I suppose. 2-ohm stable a nice plus. Far from bullet-proof to my reckoning; I wouldn't tour with it, but it's an affordable option for practice room and normal gigging. I love the sound of the B200 combo - and my little B20 is the best-sounding bedroom/recording amp I've ever owned. $149!

I've also read here that GC Acoustic is parallel-branded Kustom - OK, but can't see why this is any sort of issue. This stuff is widely available and I never see Kustom in stores even to demo. A moot point as far as I'm concerned.

I had a b410 and a b115. The first b410 blew a driver at low volume (in my apartment) the night before a gig. Guitar Center did the warranty the next morning. On the second 410 the screws that held one of the drivers in vibrated loose. When I went to put them back in I found that the holes were striped out in the cheep particle board the cab was made of. I warrantied it again for the second time and never took it out of the packaging and sold it on craigslist.

The b115 also blew a driver at low volume and pretty flat EQ while being used as an extension cab on a combo amp at practice. I traded it in for store credit as it was under a month old. All of this took place with in a two month time frame. Three bad cabs in two months just don't cut the mustard with me

I have a Kustom Deepend 200hd head. I strongly suspect the B200h is a relabeled version of that head, compare the features of the two and they are basically the same head in a different case. I bought that head used and it sounds great and haven't had any problems out of it. So I can't say the Acoustic heads are bad, but the cabs are awful.

bought one of these used and it blew up the first time it was gigged. based on this i would not recommend. if you want to buy one i suggest paying 500 new as guitar center will replace them if they break within the first three years. or if you buy it used make sure the dude has the receipt!

You know, I've seen reviews all across the board for these things. I'm starting to think that maybe you just have to find the right one, or maybe just pair it with the right cab.

But to throw my two cents in, I have one and I think it's great. Mines reliable, versatile, and powerful. I have no complaints. It's a no frills, straight forward, road tough power house. I guess I just got lucky.
