I guess it was inevitable, since Acoustic has been back in business about a year or so now, let's get that Acoustic Club going, so post your Acoustic rigs, old and new and stand proud!

I am a huge Acoustic fan, and own the little AB-50 so far. Does that count?

I haven't heard much on the new 200 watt head, how is it? Sure seems like a lot of amp for the money! I want.

Old or new, doesn't matter. If you've got an Acoustic amp., it counts!

My new bass head is absolutely unbelievable, very punch, sparkling harmonics, lots of presence and punch, hard to beat that 6-band EQ, it is indeed a great value for the money!

I had a 301 1x18 folded horn for years, and had to sell it in '76.

I want another one, but am holding out for the new improved version. Can I still join the club?

I've got old and new. 220 head with a 4x12 cab and 2 1x15 cabs as well as an Ab50. I tried one of the new 200H heads and that's next.

Why not!!

I assume you're eagerly awaiting the 360's imminent return.

Very cool! What are the major differences between the two heads (outside of the 150 having 2 input channels and [parametric EQ).

Yes, but I really want the 301--the same cab and driver as the 360--but without the built-in power amp. Are they considering offering the 301??

No 301 on the horizon as of this moment.

The differences between the 150 and the 220 are pretty significant.

The 220 was 160W into 2 ohms and the 150 was 125W into 2/4/8 ohms.

The 150 was also a multi purpose amp that could be used for guitar/bass/keys etc. The 220 was bass specific. The tremelo on the 150 is super sweet.

The 150's low fundamentals are not as solid as the 220. I attribute this to the interstage coupling transformer in the power amp. The 220 sounds superior in the lows. The power amp uses direct coupled driver circuitry. So, the 150 seems to have more mids and the 220 is able to dial in many different sounds. The 220 can sound quite modern with careful tweaking of the EQ.

Count me in!

Pics to follow, when I actually take possession. Back in early May I was trying out an Ampeg BA115HP at a GC, noticed the new Acoustic stack, tried it out. It tonally blew me away and had "old School" watts of power shaking the place up a bit (HA!). Next day, threw some money down on a New B200H and B410, down payment/layaway, little by little is how I'm rollin' these days, so good things come in a little more time is all. I'm so sold on this amp that I fully intend to "build up" in the future, definately adding a B115 and hoping to add another B200H. I highly recommend, if you have not, do yourself a big tonal favor and check the B200H with B410 or B115 out! IMHO, you cannot beat the Mojo and power you get out of these things form anything else unless you just feel you need to spend a lot more money for some of the others.

I had an Acoustic 220 back when I was in highschool. It was the first REAL amp that I ever owned. I got it used and it was beat to hell. To this day it was the loudest amp I've ever played through. I ended up getting rid of it cuz it was spitting off parts from the circuit board, yet it still kept working. It was obsecenely loud, I think it was rattling the parts off lol. I remember the huge Acoustic cabinet had a single speaker in it and it was larger then an 18" speaker. I don't remember the actual size of the speaker. Anyone know what I'm talking about? The cabinet was the size of an Ampeg refridgerator cabinet. What a weird amp!
