Wish we could get a little closer shot of the control panel so I can read what's written next to the "notch" position knob...
Anyone?? PLEASE??? Quote:

| | | | new member and acoustic owner Hi guys. I landed trying to get other's opinions on the new Acoustic line of amps. I am a displaced guitar player that moved over to bass because of need. I got a B200 three months ago to get a band going. Saw the B200 and brought it home with me the same day. I have played 3 gigs with it since getting it and it certainly can hold up to a LOUD drummer and a single guitar rolling with a Peavy 30 Classic and 4x12 Sheffield Cab with plenty of headroom (gain 1/4 up/volume 1/2up). I am however thinking of trading the B200 in to get the B200H and B115 (currently on sale for $400.00) so I can add a 2x10 or 4x10 later on without losing power. Good to see that I made a wise choice early on despite not know very much about Bass gear. I would like to see how people here set "dial in" with their Acoustic (volume, gain, eq, notch, etc..). |

Thanks.

Volume knob is "as needed," and I never needed to go past 1 o'clock. Actually, I did once and was asked to turn it down. I play a Precision bass and use a pick 99.99 percent of the time.

First off I played a nice outdoor gig tonight. Just a local town thing with maybe 200 people, lots of kids you know how these are.
Fairly big PA for our FOH. 4 growler 15" subs and 2 nice EV 12" style tops. Very high end tops and loads of power. 3 Monitor mixes.
The B200H and my 2 Avatar Neo B210's did fine. Again all the band heard it great and a guitar friend who sat in and is working on being our FOH fillin tech said they sounded great.
My settings.
I use a SABDDI and the volume is at 1, All settings are noon except mix which is all the way to 6 and presence which is at 9.
Amp
I run active EMG's but I still plug into the passive in.
I have never clipped this amp
Gain 2-3 PM
Volume 11
60hz 11
120hz 2
350hz, 800hz 12
last two highs 10 each.
Best I can do from memory
Oh sweep floats from 12 to 1

I don't seem to need anymore headroom but heck.
Can you tell us if there are any new features in the back?

And this is the little puppy I picked up today...
Also today I learned that the pictures and stuff on the walls in the living room are not quite as stable as I had thought they were. Luckily nothing's broken. |

Just picked it up today. Finally I have respectable beginner gear after two years of playing a Silvertone bass and amp. It sounds amazing, and I don;t even have to put the volume past 10:00 to hear it well in my bedroom.

| | | | traded in Okay, I just got back from trading in my B200 for a B200H and B115 cab. I have a rehearsal tonight and a gig this Saturday to put it through it's paces. I am really curious how different the sound will be on what is almost an identical setup considering the ohm load increase/wattage drop and the increased cab size. Who else here hopes Acoustic puts out a 2x10 cab? I cannot imagine lugging around the 115 AND the 410! |

Do you happen to know if any of the cabs from the USA side are going to be able to "play nice" (impedance/watts) with the New Acoustic heads already rolling out? I'm kinda "Jonesin'" (pun intended) for a Folded W 18" myself, if that should re-emerge again.
Thanks again,

I would expect that the large USA cabs that are in the works (a remaking of the 360/361 and a mini 360/361 with 15" folded design) would be 4 ohm cabs, but that's just a conjecture.
