Acoustic head/cab died first day =( Need some opinions

Hey guys, new member, but I have lurked on here for a while. I am in a dilemma here and I want some opinions.
I haven't played in about a year, and have finally saved up enough to get back into it and buy what I thought would be my best option. I bought a Acoustic B600H, and B810H setup..........yesterday. I loved the sound in the store. Well today is day 2 of owning what I thought would be the last amp I would get in a long while and it shut off, nothing works now.
I tried out a friends Ampeg head and my cabinet doesn't even produce sound.

Now my question, should I return this and just get my money back and save a bit more for a Ampeg setup again? Have you guys personally had any issues with this brand?
I was happy with the sound this thing had, and it was plenty loud. I just want the reliability my old Ampeg setup had.

Well, no matter what else, you should take the whole thing back. Very suspicious that the 810 makes NO sound at all, with either head. Sounds like a fuse somewhere, but yes, take it back. I wouldn't personally own the GC Acoustic brand, but you should be able to get one that works, if it makes you happy.

GC will basically switch any broken Acoustic so long as you have proof of purchase. It's a mass produced, cheaply constructed product with low price point. You can expect some failures. Higher quality control costs more. I doubt two will crap out on you though. At the least swap for another one.

Ive had problems with with a 3 different Acoustic Cabs. Trade them in, you can likely get something they have in store used that is better quality for the same price.

I do have an Acoustic B100 combo amp thats been pretty solid. It has a hard time with an open E but its ok for what it is.

Been reading more and more about these things failing all over. I think I am just going to chock this up as a learning experience and stick with the known good products. Off to return this in the morning and pick up just a head, I am going to have to save up a bit for the cab. Totally worth it in the end I know. It was definitely an impulse buy.

I bought the B200 combo and have used it, without fail, for a year or so. It sounds good. I say change it for a new one.

Well, returned it today. Ended up not replacing it with the same one. I am now the proud owner of a Ampeg SVT-VR, and SVT-610HLF. Absolutely in love again =D
