I've been using this combo amp for about a year. I really don't like it much, but I've heard with an extension speaker they sound good.

Any Idea's

I bet it will sound bigger, good is another story.

If you don't the timbre that you're getting now, better taking a different route. If you do and needs more volume/punch, getting an extension cab will get you there...

Marshall Hawkins, longtime pro who lives locally to me, uses an older Coda with an Underwood pickup on his European bass, no preamp. He gets a great, tight woody sound out of it for jazz, including some arco. I've forgotten what strings he uses with it, but they're not Spiros. Marshall thinks his Coda is top drawer.
