Yeah my uncle got it from one of his friends and I tried it out it sounded perfect. I asked him how much and he said 40 bucks so I was like cool. Its from the late 70s or early 80s. Its in good condition and like I said sounds great. Its probably been sitting in someones garage for years. Does anybody know anything about it. Man it sounds real clean. 2x15s has a badass vintage tone. Ill post a pic tomorrow. Always gotta tell a deal.

Acoustic cabs are great, they were top of the line professional gear back in the day. Check the specifics on the Acoustic wiki. I <3 my Acoustics.

This is a 406 (on the right).

I owned one back in the late 70's for a couple of years. It was a great cabinet, when driven by an Acoustic 220 head (pictured). Ultimately I chose to sell it and go back to using my tube rig.

You just got yourself a VERY versatile cab for a steal. Find an Acoustic head to go with it and you'll be VERY surprised at the great tone you're hearing.

I had a 402 that sounded OK with a 140. I had a SWR Workingman's 4004 for a short time that really added a lot. Haven't heard a 406 but I bet it sounds amazing and LOUD with the right head. Great find!
