Acoustic model220 vs model360

Sign in to disble this ad
Hi everyone from Mérida-Spain.

Ok i have the posibility to get an old Acoustic model220, built in the seventies, BUT i dont want to get a "fake" model360 (Jaco etc..).

I will apreciate very much if somebody can talk about the differences between this two amps. If model220 is the same than model360, but with less power will be ok for me. Is model220 a cool amp? or was just a lower model than 360, and thoesn't work the same at all. Still could be a good amp to buy? I can get it for 350Euros.

The bad thing is that i don't have the chance to test the amp, i saw by internet, and is not close from where i live. The owner said that the amp is working in excelent manner, no problems at all

Thank you very much for your help.

The 360 was a preamp ( http://acoustic.homeunix.net/twiki/b.../BassPreamp360 ) that was meant to be paired with their powered speaker cabinets, the 361 i believe ( http://acoustic.homeunix.net/twiki/b...eredCabinet361 ). The 220 is a head and conventional amp, poweramp and preamp in the same box ( http://acoustic.homeunix.net/twiki/b...ic/BassHead220 ).
I´ve owned the 370 and have the 150b at home right now and they´re bass and mid oriented amps in my opinion but I love them... Very boomy... They´re heavy amps but built like tanks and have vintage tone for days...

For more acoustic info head on over to http://acoustic.homeunix.net/
