A/DA made some very good gear back in the 80's, but they've been out of business for a long time. Their rack preamps still have an avid cult following, and command decent prices on Ebay. Their other products--cabs, combos, power amps, and effects--have all been surpassed by technological improvements over the years. I mean they were all good stuff, but not as good as more recent gear. As to the worth of that cab, what size is it? What speakers are in it? What does "good shape" mean exactly? It could be worth $25, or $225, or anywhere in between.

ADA in Charleston

It was mine about 6 months ago. Call me and I will tell you all about it. I swapped it to Kenny. Does he still have it?
I am in Summerville. You?

ADA in Charleston

I looked on CL and didn't find it. I swapped him the ada for an OLP 5er, just like I posted in the link.
The ADA is all stock, and in very good shape. It will get loud and can handle a low B without getting floppy.
Best of luck if you got it.

Ken

Don't quote me for sure but I'm pretty sure that'sa top cab to a Bi-amp system. I do not believe it is a stand-alone bass cab.

yes, it is.

I remember seeing a "Modern Bass Quartet" full stack ina store in the mid 90's... I was pretty young but it's still the piece of Bass equipment that impressed me the most in the moment... I don't remember the price tag but even New OLLLLDDD Stock it was way out of my range.

Really?

If it is just a top cab, it worked REALLY well as a stand alone during a few bar gigs.

Specs do show freq range to be down to 35hz at ADAdepot....
The owners manual confirms that full range operation was alos a viable option. They recommend bi-amping with and ADA MB-1 B500 and a 15" but even in that circumstance you can run a very low x-over point or simply run them parrallel.

I'm sure it sounded great. THere is more engineering in that cab then most modern ones.
