Adding an ampeg 210 cab to my svt410he ?

Sign in to disble this ad
Hi there,

Sorry if the question has already been raised. I searched, but didn't find answer to my question.

I run an ampeg svt410he cab through my markbass LMII head.
I like my tone a lot. But I'd like to add a second cab so that the head runs at 4 ohms and delivers the 500 w when needed. And I'd like a smaller cab than the 410 so that I have the possibility to use one or the other from gig to gig, or both.

What do you think ?
Will be AMPEG SVT-210AV work well with my current setup ?

Thanks in advance for the replies

the volume imbalance would drive me crazy. however, from a purely technical standpoint, it would work, though i must admit i don't get this fascination with putting together rigs that squeeze every last drop of wattage out of the head. the 210av is only rated for 200w, so you're still not going to be able to dime it and use every available bit of wattage.

therefore, i must give this idea a 2 out of 5.

Look for a 210 cab that will allow you the full 500watts. If not like Jimmy said, the sound balance will be WAY off, and you won't be happy with the sound overall.

Will it "WORK", yes!

I say get another 410HE or a TC Electronic RS210 if you want a 2x10.
