Adding a cart/telescopic handle to the box...

Sign in to disble this ad
so, here I am, drooling and waiting for my new box to be delivered: a wonderful (rather expensive), tiny but "growling" ATS C310X1. It is a recent development 10" front speaker plus two internal additional passive 10" tuned each one for different resonant freq. so to sensibly extend the overall low response while retaining the quick and faithful typical response of a smaller 10" cone.

I would like to add a trolley handle-wheels: where do I buy that? I am looking everywhere but could not find any source of accessories like that... Thanks! V.

P.s.: for the interested ones, this speaker is unbelievable; available as 300w in 4 and 8 ohm or in the 500w version but only 8 ohm (E310X). They are built in Sicily. I will run it with my just bought LM II!!! V.

I can't give you actual sources (Italy's a bit off my normal shopping route) but if you are looking to customize your cabinet, you can just get the required parts and install it yourself... The downside is that these add-ons have been known to rattle and produce noise of their own when you are actually using your cabinet.

You might instead want to consider a separate/normal folding hand-cart, and store it at the back of the stage when not being used. Use a bungee cord or strap to hold the cabinet to the cart during transit.

mmmmhh: this is a big drawback!!! I think I'll go for an external folding cart, then... or maybe just add wheels on the down side and stop...
