adding casters to a 2-10"s cabinet

It's not the weight, it's the number of trips.

Nothing in my rig is that heavy, but with the cabinet(s, the 2-10"s can be coupled with a 1-15"), poweramp, pedals, bag of cables/connectors, bass etc.. making it in one trip is impossible... two can be iffy.

I'm thinking of putting a set of casters on the cabinet to stack/roll everything on.
Just how much decoupling and tone change should I expect?

Get yourself a piece of 3/4" ply and put the casters on that. Cover it with some carpet remnants and you have a nice dolly. Use 3-4" diameter casters. Attach a piece of seat belt webbing to give you something to pull.

I thought of doing that as well. That's the reason I asked about the expected tonal change. If it's a marked change, I can certainly do that. If the change is minimal, then it's one less item to keep up with to add the casters to the cab.
Most of the time I end up using the 2-10 by itself..

The 4" castors (casters?) from Penn Elcom are great. They're built like tanks and roll very smoothly. I just installed a set on a cab.

I think you can get them at parts express. I ordered mine through pro audio stash.

The 2x10 is a nice little cabinet but I alway gig with a pair stacked vertically. The dolly I made fits the pair crosswise. My amp goes on top with my cable tote on top of that. Bass in one hand pull the dolly with the other.
