Adding handles to a 4x10 cab

Sign in to disble this ad
So I have a nemesis rs4x10 and the handles suck. They are positioned on the top two corners and are quite awkward to carry by yourself because you can't pick the cab up high enough without is resting on your knees and bumping it every step.

Now I'm going to be installing two spring loaded handles on sides now this my question. I would like to use recessed handles because they leave the cab streamlined. However that means I need to route a hole through the walls of the cab, this is not a worry but dust and chips in the boxes does. Also soldiering is not my forte so removing speakers is going to be quite difficult.

Any ideas ? Or do you think I should just use non recessed handles for the same of ease

Don't worry I found some that are only 10 mm deep so dust in the cab is sorted. what height should I place the handles, is there a rule of thumb for placement.

Eg cab height less x equals y

to me, the handle height depends on how high you're most comfortable lifting/carrying it, or how far you want to bend over to pick it up.
