Based on what? With only 2.5mm xmax it will fart out with much more than 50 watts. That's fine if you have a 50 watt or less amp, otherwise, not so much.

You could always hit up British Audio Service and get an OEM replacement.

Better, assuming the specs are compatible with the cab. Choosing the right driver involves far more than inches and watts.

So we are getting the right path...;]

Due to the $$$ limits, I think I will stay with Beta 15a.
BTW, this deltalite II 2515 will work beeter, won't it ?

That depends on the cabinet. The Beta 15 and Deltalite II 2515 have very different cab requirements for best results.

Yes, see if you can measure the interior dimensions and I'm sure you will get an appropriate driver recommendation.

We would really need the interior dimensions and the port dimensions (diameter and depth). It would be difficult to speculate how much volume is lost to the amplifier itself. Am I correct that this combo has two 12" drivers and two ports? If you are only interested in replacing one driver and keeping the other it would be wise to get a factory replacement. Different driver types don't play nice...........you would likely be very dissapointed with the results.

Is this the combo?

Wattage 300w R.M.S
Speaker(s) 1x15
EQ 7 band (TE GP7 preamp)
Effects effects loop

+1 on calling British Audio Service and get an OEM replacement.
This is what BAS lists for available replacement speakers:http://www.britishaudioservice.com/s...speakers.shtml
Don't know if that helps the OP.

Yes, get an OEM replacement from Trace. It's the ONLY sure thing.

I've read on other post, that Eminence speaker even improved
the sound of TE.
If i could only find specification for those speakers from
http://www.britishaudioservice.com/s...speakers.shtml

EDIT:
Well I found one specification for those amps from that site...
Eminance is not that different then Celestion BL15-250
so I think Beta 15a will be given a try..

Ah! You bought it from this guy:

For sure that's gonna repeal the principles involved. Sure beats the "fell off the back of a truck" BL15-300 everybody else gets.

well what I meant was the fact that this TE is 20 years old
and so is the speaker....
and now I've bought new line of cleestion speaker's
I don't know whether this truvox 1525 beats BL15-300
but the difference is not that big
