ust got a db750. i play a stingray 4, mostly. i play reggae, funk, latin, rnb, and rock. i need a cab that can do all of the above. love the look of db cabs but all the talk of overdone mids scares me off. especially with a stingray. but some say their old school thumpy? maybe gs, or genz uber, epifani? i need to move air, cut through, but have lots of booty for reggae and latin, but have a good slap tone for funk. what cab would work best with db750 and stingray? |

If you want to move some air, look at the Bergantino NV610. Like the Epifani with the DB750. Nice sounding cabinet. Didn't have enough character for me with the DB750.
Having used the DBs, the mids are more pronounced than the GS series, but I don't think its overkill |

I play a vintage ray and this setup kills.

I'm way more about tweeterless 70's slap sound than 80's Marcus Miller-type slap sound (love Marcus, love his playing, not crazy about how bright his sound is). Many do like it, though, so if you're one of them, the tweeterless cabs probably aren't for you. But absolutely you can use a tweeterless cab for slap.

| | Registered User | | | | | Yup they sure are...just went through the same dilemma with my DB 751...I didn't get the bergs cause I got a great deal on a Epifani ul410. If I had it to do over again id go with the bergs hands down. |

I used to run my DB750 with 4 GS112's
Nice thing about this setup is its modular.
Small gig, take one or two cabs.
Large gig take all 4

I don't feel you get enough volume of 212s or 2 112s in comparison to a 410. Probably similar to Gs212. I personally use 12s myself. I either use the 2 112s or I have 1 212.
IMO for this amp, you probably need to cabs to really get the full effect of the power and feel of the amp. 1 410 will be loud enough, but 2 will give you more speaker surface and IME with this amp, it makes a huge diffference. On a regular basis, I use the amp with either a Bergantino HT210/115 combination or a Glockenklang double/uno (212/115). It has alot of body and punch.
You might want to try 212s. I've tried it with 2 410s and its ridiculously loud. But really great tone |

IMHO ... I also have the Aguilar GS 212 and it's a nice sounding cabinet alone, but it is just a little lacking in the high mids, I stumbled across a Aguilar GS210 and with the two cabinets together it has a very nice full, rich sound .... if I had to choose between the two ( the Berg NV or the Aguilar set -up ) I can't, I like the sound of both ... both the Berg and the Aguilar sound good with a 5 String |
