Advice on putting casters on a Goliath cab?

Sign in to disble this ad
I have an older, fairly beat but in perfect working order Goliath 410. It has no casters and my back says it needs some. I am thinking of getting the kind that are the more heave duty ones that you screw the base of the caster to the cab with 4 screws as opposed to the removable casters. Any suggestions or advice one way or the other?

Do it!!! You'll be amazed at how much your back is saved. No need for removable ones IMO, others will disagree. I'd recommend at least 3" casters, the 2" ones get hung up too easily.

HD casters

I was thinking of doing the same thing with my GK 410, @84 pounds it's a pain, especially thru doors. which casters are you looking at?

I don't like the pop outs they always seem to break for me.

IMO your better off with screw ons

+1 on the 3" or bigger, 2" are only good on nice flat hard surfaces. I'm looking at 4" ers since I have plenty of load ins/outs thru gravel lots.
