Advice - Run 2x Mesa/Boogie 1516BE's or 1516BE + 212

Hey folks,

Need some advice. Usually i use my ears, but in this case its not really possible.

I'm going to be running a Mesa/Boogie 1516BE (450W EV-Loaded) I was pondering the option of running two of these. I have one bought, going to pick it up in a week or two, but was wondering if anyone has used two together; since there has been another come near to where i'm picking the first one up!

I would usually just plug in, and see, but the amp i'm using (Mesa/Boogie 400+) isn't working, so i can't...

The other cab i currently own is a Matamp 212 (900W@4ohm) - I'm keeping that anyway, so that doesn't really matter too much..

For some context: I play in a post-rock band, really loud stuff playing big, ever increasingly sized venues. I just like speaker cone real estate, and know 1516's work nicely with 400's - so rationale tells me 2 is better than one

Ta!
Jamie

I would run both 1516BE's.

I have a RR1516BE and a RR2X15, along with 2 other 2X12's (non-Mesa)

I would never pair up one of the 2X12's with my Mesa's, although I have run both of my RR's together. Pure tonal bliss !

Yes, two of the 1516 cabs would sound awesome together.

This is about as close I can get for you. Sounds massive.
