Anyone running an AG500 w/Berg AE cabs? I think I'm going to make a change from my current MB head. I've played through the AG500 on a couple of house backlines (w/Aggie cabs) and liked the sound. At sub-20lbs it isn't featherweight but isn't that heavy. I have Berg AE210 and AE112 cabs that I swap around depending on the gig. Doing straight jazz to funky stuff to Steely Dan covers.
Other alternative is the MB Fusion, but I think that is in a different tonal zip code. |

I play my ag500 through my berg ht310 and it flat out is the best sounding setup I've ever owned. I hear a ton of great reviews on the ae cabinets and if I traveled around, I would get one. |

With the Tone Hammer 500 coming out, some will probably selling their AG500 to get the latest/greatest.
That way if you don't like the AG500, you could flip it back hopefully without much expense.

I just picked up my Lull with your new Nordys installed. Killer. I'm lovin' it.
So, did you end up getting a AG 500? If yes, how did it pair with the AE series. I'm drooling to do the same thing. Just played an AG500 today for the first time and LOVED it! Played it through an DB 212 though.
Let me know.

As luck would have it, I just picked up a P-bass, albeit 4-string. I ended up buying a Streamliner 900, will gig it for the first time tonight. I fairly regularly play an AG-500 at a studio backline with Aggie DB cabs. I like that setup a lot. I never have taken my cabs and run that head but I imagine it would be nice as the AG500 is a little mellower than for instance my MB Fusion. |

Sound great but that's my bright rig. I have a warmer setup for different gigs with a Bag End 15 and Mesa Powerhouse 2x10. Well, I'll go to ATL Bass Gallery hopefully today and try the AG 500 through the AE 410 they have on the floor.

Whereas I do not have the Berg cab to go along with it....I am interested in how this sounds.
Aguilar is making some of the best stuff out there! |
