Aguilar DB680 and Aguilar DB810 what would be a good power amp for this combo

Once again it is time to buy a new cabinet and I have my eyes on the Aguilar DB 810. My preamp is a Aguilar DB 680. The question is what power amp would match up with the DB 810, as I have owned lots of different cabs and preamps Ive noticed that its never easy getting a good mach between all components. The question is how much power is to much power for the crossover in the 810. Basically I want an amp that will have the over head not to clip at high volume. Amps I have been looking at, Crest CA 6 or 9 also the crown XLS 5000. The pros to the XLS 5000 would be I could run an 18 or perhaps another DB 810 or 412 as I have heard they make a mean combo. Any Ideas or advice would be awesome.

An Aguilar db728 would be an obvious choice (if you can find one). With that said, there is no voodoo magic with power amps. Just get one with enough power for your needs from a reputable company.

DB728, no doubt
tube power reacts differently with SS power

Although the DB728 is a tempting choice, I find that it pairs up a bit better with the DB659 than the DB680. I just like the more aggressive edge of the 659 with the 728.

My personal favorite amp with my 680 is the Crest CA9.
