Aguilar DB680 tube layout

Sign in to disble this ad
I have a wonderful DB680 which I decided to replace the tubes on (there was occasionally some 'popping' from one of them).
Anyhow, my son decided to help and took out the tubes when I removed the lid. Good boy, but....... I now have no idea which tube goes where?
If anyone can tell me which sockets house the two 12AX7 tubes, then I'll be fine.
Here's a pic of the layout before the tubes were removed

I might still have notes at home, but a phone call to Aguilar wiould probably work really well for you.

The one closest the the front input with metal shield is a 12ax7 as is the one straight behind it. The two along the back and one off to the right are 12au7s. This is all looking at the unit from the front.

You're screwed, it's just a fancy paper weight now. You should send it to me.

Yippee! Marco from Aguilar just emailed me a pic of the tube layout on the DB680! I'll be able to get everything back to normal when I get home.

You're welcome. Glad to know I have them in the right place! What tubes are you running in yours? I really like the gold pin JJ in the first spot - I find don't need the bright switch anymore.
