Aguilar DB750 effects loop problem

Sign in to disble this ad
I just picked up a DB750 and I've been having some problems with the effects loop. All I'm putting through it is an Agro pedal and a big muff. When I try to adjust the send and return in order to get enough volume, i get a lot of feedback. How should I adjust the push/pull? Any ideas of what I'm doing wrong?

Send Aguilar an email or give them a call. There is also a rep on TB. They are very responsive.

Maybe also try putting the pedals into the front of the amp, and skip the fx loop. The loop is meant for line level gear, not stomp boxes, though it *can* work out.

Distortion pedals, and almost anything other than reverbs usually feel best in front of the amp, and many effects loops are line level only (some are instrument only). On the dB 750, you have push pull pots for line or instrument level, and push pull for parallel and series operation, so you have some flexibility.

Why the OP is getting feedback, that I don't know. Maybe he's cranking it and standing very close to the front of the cab?

I don't use the FX loop on my DB750, it's too noisy...
