Aguilar DB750 Needs Cabinet(s)

Sign in to disble this ad
Hi all,

I have a Aguilar DB750 Bass head. Awesome piece of gear. I am playing it thru a 4/10 Hartke. I don't feel the cab is properly matched to the head. I am looking for perhaps a 2/12 or a 15 with 2/10s... Any sugesstions.. Thanks

Depends on your tone goals.

For an old school fat tone, mine sounded great with 15" cabs. I liked it better with 2 - 15" cabs then a single 15" + 210 cab, but that was because the older Mesa Diesel 2x10 cab couldn't keep up with the Eminence 3015 loaded 1x15".

I'm currently using a fEarful 15/6 cab which sounds great, the strong upper mid freq response of this cab brings more versatility to the minimalist DB750 tone controls.. but it still sounds the best with gain up past 2 and all tone knobs around 12 o'clock.
