Aguilar DB751 through Ampeg 8X10?

i currently have a usa made Ampeg Svt Vr tube amp and an Ampeg 8X10 cab. i am thinking of buying an Aguilar DB751 for an alternative amp/sound to use....just wondering if anyone has used the 751 through the Ampeg 8X10 and what the results were? i see no reason why it shouldn't sound good......any thoughts? cheers.

I wouldn't think they'd match that well. I own an Aguilar DB751 and it needs a very efficient, powerful, and open sounding cab to do it's job well. Anything less and I'd actually be afraid of blowing speakers with that head.

i used run an Ampeg SVT-7 through an Ampeg 8x10, it sounded killer. and the svt-7's are lightweight and pretty affordable. definitely a good back up amp to your tube head.

I see no reason why the DB751 wouldn't sound good in an 810e, but with respect to Dave B who is a really nice guy, I don't know if I'd want to back up a heavy $2000 amp with another heavy $2000 amp unless I was rich and had a road crew
