Hey all, my current rig is a carvin bx1200 and brx 10.4 cab. I'm looking on buying another cab and I'm interested in the aguilar gs412. I read good review on it and that it handles lots of bottom. I live in San Diego California and there are no dealers around San Diego that carry aguilar cabs. If anybody lives in San Diego area, and are kind and willing to let me try your gs412 cab. Or maybe buy another carvin brx 10.4 cab with carvin b2000 head for more volume and bottom. Thanks in advance to all. You can contact me through my email: nitros_88@hotmail.com or through talkbass. |

So it you like a naturally bright sound, without the tweeter click, might no have it without some boost somewhere. That is about the criticism I can think of for it.

| | Registered User | | | | Would one gs412 sound deeper than two brx 10.4 cabs? Would the gs412 be good to run as a stand alone cab with no PA support? I'm really tempted on buying the aguilar gs412 new from online store since there are no local dealer that carry aguilar cabs around San Diego area, but if I dont like it I dont want to be struggling on returning the cab and pay to ship it back. Sorry if I'm asking too many questions but hopefully the gs412 is the last cab I buy for a long time

| | | | As others have said, buy the GS412 and be happy!
It will do all you are asking and MORE!
DO IT!
I've owned dozens of cabs in 25 years and it's the cream of the crop IMHO.

Plus I could haul just one to smaller gigs, if needed. In the end I didn't get any of the Aguilar cabs at all due to some ordering issues so I'm still rocking my Accugroove Whappo Jr. |

A B-string tuned down to G still sounded tight and punchy (on a Spector Euro 5LX bass through a GK 700RBII). Just buy the damn thing already! LOL Seriously though, there's an extremely small percentage of people who don't like them - and the only time you ever see one up for sale is when someone has to downsize due to bills or something. I wouldn't steer ya wrong! Quote:

And I find that the GS412 is way easier to move than two GS212's simply for the fact that it has wheels. You don't have to carry it and the only lifting is over curbs and steps and into your car, which isn't that hard thanks to the great balance and weight distribution of the cab. But, if space is limited in your vehicle, it definitely makes sense to get the two 2x12's.

| | Registered User | | | | Thanks for all your help guys. I just wanted to make sure I was on the right track before pulling the trigger. I decided to buy it at guitar center but they are not available until august 16 lol. Its easier for me to return to the store just in case there is something wrong with it. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
