Aguilar vs. Orange (Not really a versus, just a few questions)

Okay, so I'm stuck between two stacks.
An Orange Tiny Terror 500, with an OBC 4x10.
Or an Aguilar Tone Hammer, with a DB 2x10.

Now, from what I know, they're fairly similar, my question isn't the tone or anything like that. But more so the reliability.
I've never heard anything bad about either company. I use an Orange PiX CR25BT for a practice amp, so I'm...I guess aware of the Orange tone.
Call me crazy, but something about Aguilar being a bass amp company just seems more trustworthy to me.
Something that's also kind of cool, if I get the Aguilar stack, I can also get the SL112 for band practice, and just carry the head with me.

So let me know your guys' experiences, I'd love to hear them and hopefully they'll help me come up with a decision.

The Orange is much more 'rock n roll' with its tone. It will do clean, but it LOVES to get dirty and its great for a big fat old motown tone or a rock n roll/dirty tone.

The Aguilar will be more modern, you will hear more, more sheen. Great company.

I like both...it depends on what you like.

I didn't really liked the Tiny Terror, but I wouldn't play with a 210 anymore. I would vote the Aguilar with a 410 or 2x210 or 2x112.

I picked up an OBC410 and it probably is one of my favorite cabs that I have used. Remember that there is a massive sound difference between a 2x10 and a 4x10. Aguilar makes some great 4x10's as well, you should definitely check them out

I haven't had any experience with the Aguilar so I can't comment on it, but I own a Terror Bass 500.

It is a great amp, sounds awesome. I absolutely love the grind you can get out of it.

The only issue I have with it is that it crapped out on me. I had owned it for a month, I played only 1 gig with it and had band practice 2-3 times a week. I put it on standby at practice one day and went outside for a smoke. When I came back in the standby light was off but it was still in standby. I tried to turn it on and couldn't.

I took it into the shop and they looked at it and said it blew a fuse, and it would have kept blowing them, due to a faulty power section. Apparently this was/is a pretty well known problem with them.

It was sent back to Orange and they put a whole new power section in it. I've had it back for about a week now and it seems to be working fine.

+1- the 410 rig will have volume the 210 rig won't be able to keep up with. Based on that alone, the 410 rig would be the better choice, but....
