So I sent my f1x to alembic for servicing. At first they answered the phone but now their not and when I leave a voice message they don't respond. This is the first time I sent anything to them for repair and I was wondering if anybody has an email address for them or any experience dealing with them... Thanks! |

| | | | did you arrange an RA # and all that, or did you just mail it to them without their consent?
most music gear companies shut down for the holidays, and again for the NAMM trade show, which was just last week.

| | | | I'll keep the thread going. Alembic doesn't care about you or your second hand pre amp and it most likely still sits in the box you sent it in under a big pile of other pre amps people like you sent in. Welcome to boutique heaven, where every whim of the customer is catered to promptly and professionally. Where the specific contract you have with the builder is open to interpretation and th input you give is always valued. Where inquiry involving said contracts is replied to steadfast and informative.
And don't call people names.

And don't call people names. | Good thing you don't generalize much. Did you have a bad experience with Alembic yourself? |

OP should pose the question on there.

I had to send my Europa-4 back to them for a neck/fingerboard problem that required a complete fretboard resurface and refret many years ago. IIRC it took quite some time and I also had some trouble getting in touch with them; but when bass was finally returned, it was flawless.
Be patient, IMO it will be worth the wait. If the individual department personnel are the same as they were back in the 90's, Ron Wickersham himself will most likely be the person doing the repair on your preamp, so it's in very good hands.

They don't return phone calls and don't respond to emails. On the other hand, when someone does answer the phone they are helpful and polite. In the end they will do a good job and treat you right, you just have to be patient while waiting for it to happen. |

I was dying to finally play an Alembic bass myself. If they were there they were somehow left off of the exhibitors listings on the official map and guide they handed out there.
I was shocked that Bergatino was also not listed and if they were indeed there I never found them due to not being listed in that guide.
Good luck getting the item fixed! |
