Bass San Diego is working on finding the one sheet...
I left a message with Alessandro too.

I found out that the power cable is a Wireworld Aurora 5.2.
Anyone know anything about them or ever use one?

Crickey! Someone's got taste and money. Or at least had money.
All the best with it, I'd love to hear it with my Casady bass.

I have a Jc for sale right now and I get my '74 LP Sig back next week. When I shot a demo of the amp I'll bust those out.

I tried to pop the back off, but after taking the screws out it was still too tight. A friend said to play with the amp and lt heat up for a while, then it should pop out easier. I'm about to give a Skype bass lesson with it. Should be hot enough after that

Silver chassis... and chicken head knobs?

What's the EQ section like? I see it's the old volume bass mids treble setup, but is there anything you'd compare it to (in sound, obviously, not fanciness)?

Probably not. It came in used on consignment. However, here is a link to the Bassett Hound on the Alessandro site.

I didn't realize that it came in on consignment there.
Any idea what the price was then?

Sound: An extremely clean tube amp.
Even when pushed it doesn't really break up.
It's the perfect compliment to my old SVT

If you're ever in Ohio I'd love to compare it to my B-12XTC. It'll do ~50w from two 6550 and I'd describe it the same way.

Sounds good

I'm actually thinking about putting the B15R up on the block and just keeping the Alessandro, '61 B15N and '78 SVT. 3 rigs is plenty for me.

The silver chassis is an interesting option...you can't polish it without likely removing some of the silk screened lettering. If you don't like the blackened look, I guess you could have it chromed?

Cool stuff.

The tarnished look is what's most awesome if you ask me. I wouldn't touch it.

Man, I still kind of want a B15R despite having too many rigs... How does it compare to the vintage B15 or the Basset?

That's about as boutique-y as it gets.

So it's basically an open back cab, or is that considered a rear port?
