Peavy bought Crest years ago. I would not consider them to small.

I have been using micro amps for decades before ever hearing about TB's existence.

So I have read through most of the posts over the last couple of days. I recently had a problem with my Shuttle 9.0. When I turned the master volume off the amp was still quite loud and there was noticable distortion at any level. Hey, no problem, GB has the best customer service. I called the GB number on the website and got got some Fender tech who told me the master volume was working normal, they all do that. I asked to speak with Jeff and was told he was not available. The tech would speak with him and get back to me. He called me 2 days later and told me Jeff said that they had some issues with with the master volume molex connectors and I could bring it to one of two Fender authorized repair centers, though one would refuse to work on it because I did not buy it from him. This is their idea of customer service. Needless to say, my warranty is no longer any good, I took it to someone I have used for 30 years, and whom I trust. I love the amp, but, I thought I purchased the whole package. Live and learn...

Sorry to hear your misfortune Pops.
That sounds like a big change in how GB does business.
Thankfully they have built very reliable amps.
Wonder what the future holds for them.
If things go poorly with FMIC, one can only hope the owners receive a large payout.

Great! My LED's in the SL are flashing like a disco strobe light. Whacky. Is Fender gonna tell me it was a design feature?

Probably, given the above volume control issue.

Not that I'm high on the totem pole, but I am a Genz-Benz endorsing artist, and I haven't heard any bad news.

If Fender is actually handling the customers, that's a huge step down for everyone who owns or was considering a GB amp.

popps sorry to hear that. I guess my days of swinging by GB in Scottsdale with my amp and speaking directly to Jeff about any problem are now a thing of the past. That's too bad as the level of CS from Fender will never be as good as we've seen in the past from GB.

I hope you get your amp taken care of soon.

imho you're buying the wrong amps. I wouldn't expect a cheap Ampeg micro to be worth a damn.
My "cheap" PF350 has worked great for a year and a half now. My Micro VR the same for two years now. So there

I take that to mean Walter Woods, because the micros haven't been around for 20 years.

Not me. At first at least. I bought my first shuttle based on sound alone. It was only a couple of days later, after I called concerning a problem with the tube that it was delivered with -- and I got Jeff Genzler directly and had my problem fixed immediately, that I realized what I had bought into. After that, I bought into it again...and planned to buy into it some more.

GB was an oasis of customer service in the wasteland that is today's marketplace. If Fender squanders that reputation by bringing them under their enormous and shoddy customer "service" department, they are going to lose more money through lost sales then they will save by conglomerating service and repair work.

Straight up dumb.
