But you don't need much than a simple reading on the internet to start "trying" to kill Hadrien feraud's reputation here on TB do you ? yes... I remember... and I had a discussion with Phil Smith about that too.

The fact is guys like you seem to be "americanocentric".

Want facts ? I got them from an importer, telling me again this morning that only 14 cabs would be available in Europe next 2 weeks, and after that, no one can say if they'll continue to import them. But it seems that.... not before a very long time, that's why it's really frightening, but he.... you are americans.... your "world" is reduced to your "part of the world", maybe only Illinois..... or Chicago, or your bellybutton, it's cool for you Jauquo.....

As I said it's not a rumor, it's based on mails and phones exchanges with persons involved in the FMI/KMC market:
- Joshua Inouye
- Adam Smith
- Guillaume Radouan, from Mproshop

When I want to spread an information, or in that case to get more reliable informations (it was a question, didn't you see the "?") I don't let socials networks or fora telling me what I should do: I ask the persons involved first, that was my job as a journalist in France.

You can laugh of course, that's your own right and I accept the game as I previously said.

You could talk about arrogance from me also, it's funny and amazing to see how some of you love to live with "stereotypes" about some parts of the world... I could say "so american..." but I don't want to be as stupid as some of you, yeah cos' it's only some of you, the majority is clever than... THAT.....

There is some truth in that statement.

Well, this thread is going well.

I'm not sure you can infer anything from any of this. It could just be a distribution change, or even nothing at all. Great rumor thread, though. I'll play: I heard that Fender was going to rebadge the entire GB line and do a big push to sell the shuttle line as the new SWR and the streamliners would be part of an "its back!" campaign for Sunn.

I am sad to hear of your difficulty in obtaining Genz Benz gear that we obviously value here. Hopefully, this has to do with new gear superseding the old, or a pending positive change in your distribution channel. My hope in either of these instances is that change will benefit you and other European brethren.

I understand that you are asking questions, and seeking answers. I also appreciate your foreshadow of a possible issue that we otherwise know nothing about. Thank you.

You are diligent in your quest to consider many sources. In the quest, please filter trifling information, like some in this thread, in hopes of finding your answer.

Finally, some other folks have had issue contacting Genz Benz staff lately, as apparent in several other talkbass threads. A Genz Benz response has been that this is due to holiday absence.

I hope everyone here had a great holiday. Best wishes to you all in 2013.

Peace, rimbaud!

Does seem kind of odd that one of the GB guys has'nt popped up here in this thread; usually when " Genz Benz " is part of a thread, it does'nt take long for Hasbeen or Aged Horse to appear. From what little information has been offered in this thread, it seems to be more concerned with Europe, if at all. Fender has been in business for 65 years; sounds like they know what they are doing to me, but I could be wrong.

FMIC has run the "Divide et impera" on many, many brands over the years, hopefully this isn't one of them.

Yep. "agedhorse" has posted about 20 times in the amp forum in the past week. . . Just not in this thread.

He is an engineer, it's not his responsibilty to respond to marketing issues. A simple email to GB will answer any questions.

This was a direct response to the OP in "the other thread", less than 2 hours after the OP's post. The OP didn't respond, at least in the thread.

Maybe the problem isn't Genz or Fender. Maybe it's France. No humor or sarcasm intended. So don't be offended.

"agedhorse" saw the detailed concern in that original post and ignored it. I didn't see the normal "Genz Benz great customer service" response in agedhorse's answer. He could have helped by responding in the initial thread. He could have also stated that he would look into the issue and comment later. This thread follows the initial lack of response.

I don't view your France comment as sarcasm or humor. Apparently, it's a representation of "your idea" of truth, which some could perceive as a comment of harassment based on another's national origin. So don't be offended?

Here's the OP's post from the other thread:

I was telling all my anger about their stupid politics that drive us to not be able to find anymore new GB products in France.

of course, joshua gently recommended me to purchase.... anywhere else in Europe, but not in France. If he wants us to make all the shops close in France, that's the good deal for sure...

The fact is: sales persons @ Fender France wants the dealers to buy for 20 000 € of fender array, from the squier to the custom shop, before purchasing any else brand they import by KMC.

So you can easily imagine what the shop tenders reply me" Ahem sorry, don't want to have problems with my bank, so won't be able to get your genz Benz Focus cabinet".

Same issue when you want to get brands from Yamaha, Roland or Gibson.... that means 75% of the on-demand market in our country.... I let you imagine what you can find in shops when you do't live Paris Lille or Lyon, means all the west side (where I am located) can't get those products..... no really, thanks with those politics guys. Now we know why the "Salon de la Musique" in Paris doesn't exist anymore....

Thanks for us in France Jeff, you really choose the wrong company with FMI.....
There was a quick response to the OP's complaint in the other thread. I'm not attempting to harass anyone. Note the bold part. The common denominator is France. Perhaps they have a trade issue. We have those here as well, so maybe other countries might also. So, yes, don't be offended.

EDIT: Agedhorse is an engineer. The fact that he would respond at all to a TB post about geo-politcal marketing of the parent company is a great example "Genz Benz great customer service". My idea of truth, anyway.

Same thing in Norway, no shops stocks any GB products due to Fenders stupid policy...I don't think GB is happy about that.

I'm not at all familiar with how Fender distribution works in Europe. Which policy are you referring to?
