Alligator Combo - does anyone remember this amp ?

Hi.
My amp is an Alligator combo with 2*8" - rated 200 watts.
I've been trying to find more info about this box, which I bought some time around 1990.
I know it was produced in England, at the back it reads something like langlois London, and I know they made a 4*10" version too, which was rated 400w.

But nobody seems to know this bas combo - or my googling skills needs refinement - So do you know this amp ? Can you or anybody you know of give me more information about.

I'm quite happy with it, very solid, it's quite sturdy. It has 7 band EQ and some top and bottom filters plus compression. I use it with an additional 1*12" and 2*10"

Best regards

I'm in London and I have two of their "all-purpose" combos. Bought one in 84 and one in 87. I still use them both.

Wow. I have an Alligator combo (1 x 15"), and I have never seen others or heard about anyone else owning them, so I actually thought about whether the guy I bought it from back in 95 had built it himself :-) Nonetheless, it's a pretty nice combo fo rthe rehearsing space. Wouldn't gig with it anymore, though :-)

Well, Hi There ! ;-)
I know that feeling, and I would have thought it was home-built too, if I hadn't actually seen the 4*10, 400w model - and a friend of mine owns a guitar model they made. (2 channel input, one with tubes, sounds like a dream.). #3 I see you are situated in Denmark too. Any chance you bought your alligator from Dennis Musik, Frederiksberg. ?

Nope, I bought it second-hand from some guy in Århus... :-)

I used one (2x8") for a few years. Made in London..maybe late 80s to early 90's. They used very expensive Volt speakers - but I found mine was just too heavy. With an extension cab it was a very very good amp...until it got damaged by an airline.
