Am I going to blow this cab?

Sign in to disble this ad
I have a Genz Benz shuttle 6.0 head (375 watts at 8ohms) and one of the cabs I have is a GK 112mbx - 100 watt, 8ohm 1x12 cab built as an add on cab to the old MB series combos. I know I can't pin the volume knob on the head, but I should be able to practice with it at home, correct?

Correct. If it starts to sound bad, turn the volume down. Otherwise, no problem.

Thank you... how about another question then... I have another 1x12 cab, 300 watts.. If I wanted to run both 1x12 cabs, I'd be putting out 600 watts at 4 ohms...Could I do that? Again, I know I can't run the head full out.

you could as long as they're both 8 ohm.

This is always the answer, unless it's an ohms question.
