Amazon.com selling Genz Benz STL6.0 12T dirt cheap

Sign in to disble this ad
I don't understand, but Amazon.com is selling this bass combo for $733.31, which is cheaper the the 744.53 I ordered it for this weekend.

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00..._ya_os_product

Them, and some of their resellers seem to be doing the same thing with the Shuttle 3.0 combo. The astounding thing is that the going rate here in the US is 1199. The combo is going for just a little more than the amplifier itself.

Anyway my order has shipped, and should be here on Tuesday.

These online retailers are doing some sneaky things these days. The short story version is that they monitor your buying habits online. They use cookies to track what you look at and how long it take you to decide to purchase and the prices they offer reflect that fluctuation.

I bought a CD case that holds like 300 CDs from amazon. At work the price was 34.66 and at home it was 36.99. I then did some research and found out about the way they collect info and price accordingly.

Doesn't MF have a "beat anyones price" policy like GC and SA? You could get it from MF at the lower price if they do.

Forgot to add. Are you sure it is the real thing and not a Chinese clone?

Huh. That never even crossed my mind. Well. I will find out when it gets here. I have owned a couple Shuttles in the past so hopefully I will be able to tell if it is a clone.

Dammit. I'm totally in the market for a Shuttle 6.0, but not quite financially ready to buy. These deals always come by when I'm least prepared to act on them!!!

Good lord! I have relatives that live in New York state and it just so happens that my parents are going down there next week to visit them. Maybe I should pull the trigger on one of these and have it shipped to my aunt and uncle's place for my folks to bring back....

Is this a good deal, or an OMG!!!!! good deal (as one of my daughters would say)? I'm looking for a small combo because I play through a PA at home but want a bedroom amp in my home office - should I be jumping op this? I play alone along with a drum machine most of the time. I was thinking of a 110 or 112 cab and a smaller Markbass head, is this comparable tone wise?

Is it a better buy than the GK MB212 for 699, for example? or the GK MB210 for 599?

thanks in advance guys

Yup. GC was selling the tascam dr07 recorder for like $159, amazon for $99.95. I figured it was cheaper to pay sales tax than expedited shipping, so I had GC price match it.

They cried and moaned, "its used, its not in stock, its too loooowwww!, have to talk to my manager", but I stuck to my guns and the manager price matched it.

I felt so guilty when I dropped it in the toilet that night at the gig that I returned it for exchange at a different Guitar Center the next day... Amazing how quickly electronic stuff dries on the dash by the defroster ducts when the air conditioning is added to regular defrost.

amazon is back up over 1k now.
but MF did come down to 733 around last thursday. they are backordered though.

i wondered if this price drop was to clear inventory before a new gb product line.

Thanks for notice of great deal on Shuttle 3

Thanks for pointing out the great deals, Juan1 and vin*tone!

I checked Amazon and saw that Musician's Friend was listed as their source. So I checked Musician's Friend and saw that they are including a rebate coupon for a free GB Shuttle carrying case! I pounced on the deal from Musician's Friend and ended up ordering a Shuttle 3 from them for $482.

I see that Amazon's price is back up to $695 without the case but Musician's Friend still has the same deal I got.

Mine came in last Friday. Not a Chinese clone
Awesome little amp. Prices for the extension cabinets are a little though.
Thanks again to the OP!
