Amepg SVT 7 pro cab mating...HELP!

So im looking for a 212. I really never expect to have to add to that. Would a 4 ohm bac ( Aggy 212) suffice? Would my "1000w at 4 ohms" Amp cream it?

ANY amp can blow ANY cab. Using common sense is your best defence. Still, I'd suggest finding an 8 ohm 212, so you always have the option of a 4 ohm 4x12 rig. The difference between the 4 ohm and 8 ohm cabs would be insignificant.

Just get an 810e. You know you want it!

A 212 cab would work if you use common sense, but I just don't see the point of taking 1000w and throttling a little cab. And a 4 ohm 212 would be a HUGE waste because there's no way in hell you can run 1000w into a 212 anyway.

I gigged the SVT-7Pro with an AE212, and it was a great matchup, IMHO.

I love the DB cabs, very old schoolish, but still plenty-o-punch.

thanks man..I hear the DB's can be "hnky" in the medrange..im looking for that studio like flat-country thump...with the possibility to get growly in the low mids ( mostly eq and gain for that id guess) ....
The GS's seem more durable....although teh DBs are pretty....

Are th GS's considered more of a scooped slappers thing? def not MY thing?
