Hi all,

Bought an SVT7PRO from the USA recently and want to use it in Australia. Do any mods need to be made to the amp?

Thanks,
Taran

Yes. The mains voltage needs to be switched to 240V. This may or may not be possible. Check with Ampeg if it can which is something you should have done BEFORE you bought the amp. If it can't be changed you'll need to use a 240V to 120V outboard transformer.

Mine has a 115/230 switch on the back.
I think those are equivalent to US/Australia, but don't quote me.

I bought mine from the US also. No probs at all, just make sure you switch the li'l red Voltage select switch to 230V for Aus power & NEVER use the 110V for Aus!
Put a bit of tape over it, or simply check it each time you use it, to make sure it's on the correct setting.
No need for any mods, they're made with this switch for world wide use.
Great amp-enjoy!
