Which amp is best for my style?

It will be plenty of watts... if it's not loud enough, get more speaker coverage.

I used to run that exact rig. Sounded good to me and got as loud as I ever needed. Light that gain knob light up good and bright and you can get serious volume out of it and an 810. That said, if you can take the extra weight, the 4 Pro rocks with an 810e and will give you enough wattage to blow up your 810e

For rock and metal I'd prefer the 810e over the 410hlf. It's stronger in the low mids. Also, louder.

If you get the Heritage 810e, you have to get the Heritage SVT-CL. It's law.

Any of them are great choices. Not like there's a wrong choice. But the Heritage head matches and looks 10x more badass with the Heritage cabs than the 2 Pro or regular CL.

I heard that in the event you elect to set anything other than a Heritage SVT-CL on a Heratage 810e cab, some guys in modest black suits stop by with a water board.

no budget and you like Ampeg? greenboy Dually loaded with 3015's and a Ampeg SVT 7-pro. That rig would melt faces, and then impregnate everyone on the audience.

Sounds good. I was going to say there are probably cooler heads than the SVT-3 in the same price range, but I just checked and they can be found for $400 (GC used online).

I dig SVT heads with a Sansamp somewhere in the signal chain for an optional bright sparkly flavor.

The Ampeg SVT-II and an Ampeg 810 are one of my absolute favorite combinations for Rock. Think Mike Dirnt's tone on "Dookie" or Matt Freeman's tone on Rancid's "...And Out Come the Wolves" - that'll give you an idea of what to expect. The were a lot of 90's ska bands that used that setup as well - it absolutely kills with a Stringray!

If your heart is set on Ampeg, then by all means get Ampeg. The Ampeg guys on this thread seem to know what they're talking about. I'm sure they can steer you right.

But if you're open to other options, there are some good ones to consider. If you want a Gallien Krueger big rig, one way to go would be to get a GK 1001RB-II head, with either a GK 4x12 Neo cab (4 ohms), or a pair of GK Neo 4x10 cabs (8 ohms each).

For a monster Mesa rig, get either a Titan V12 head (if you like it tubey & squishy), or a Carbine M9 head (if you like it clean & tight), with either a Mesa Powerhouse 4x12 cab (4 ohms), or a Mesa Powerhouse 8x10 cab (also 4 ohms).

But this is just a taste of the potential rigs that are available for your purposes. Any of those rigs has the clout to knock down an outhouse - and sound fantastic while doing so.
