Question Amp Choices/Questions

So I need a practice amp, but I want one with a bit of power to it. I think 100w RMS is perfect for what I want.

Have any of you played the Peavey Max 110 or the Ampeg BA-115? What are your thoughts? For home use, would a 10 be ok or would it be worth spending the extra money for a 15? If I were to find a drummer to jam with, would I still be able to use a 10 or would the 15 be better?

I haven't played the Peavey, but I've played the Ampeg. It's a great little combo. I think it would be ideal for home use.

You'll need at least a 100 watts and a 15" speaker to keep up with a drummer.

I was using an Ampeg BA-112 (50w, 1x12 speaker) when I first joined up with a classic rock basement band. Even at moderate levels the 1x12 was quickly swallowed up and really couldn't provide much low end with two guitars and a drummer. Went to a 1x15 with a 200w head and things were much better. The BA-112 however, was an ideal home practice amp that had a great tone.

+1 if you plan on jamming, more and bigger is always better.
