Amp decisions...

Sign in to disble this ad
Hi

New guy here, appriciate any answers

I'm hooked on some gear from my previous (equipped) rehearsal place, and thought I'd get me something similar.
People here have alot of experience when it comes to buying amps, and I dont

Gonna get a brandnew EBS cabinet.
The 4x12 is really big and has a fat pricetag, 6x10 is a little cheaper, little smaller...But how different are they really?
There are smaller/more affordable versions, but could they be powerful enough for playing even small venues I wonder, or are there better options?

Thanks for reading

I have an EBS Neo 2x12 which is incredibly light, and incredibly loud, more than sufficient for small to medium-sized venues, assuming you're driving it with a decent amp. I haven't measured it with a dB meter, but it sure seems like my EBS HD350 through a single Neo 2x12 is louder than my vintage SVT with the 8x10 "fridge" bottom. Do you need more than that?
