Amp head and cab to upgrade my newbie combo...

Hi everyone. And happy new year!

This is my first post on the forum. So I'll shortly introduce myself. I started to play bass about 1 year ago after giving the guitar a try many times during a few years. Somehow I could not really get interested and passionate about the guitar and started to tell myself I just sucked at music. But when I picked up a bass, I just loved it :-)

I am of course still quite a newbie in the bass world :-)

I started with an Ibanez GSR 200 and then fell in love with Warwick. I found a 2nd hand Thumb NT at a great price and went for it. Since then I also bought a MM Stingray.

But I still play through my old entry range combo Peavey Max110 and I would like to buy a head + cab. I already have some ideas for the head (ashdown abm/mag or markbass littlemark 250) but I don't really know what to choose for the cab. I am also wondering if I should go for 1x15'' or 2x10'' speakers.

I forgot to mention I play funk/disco/soul (EW&F, Chic, Jamiroquai...) but also rock (Pink Floyd, Police...). I don't plan on doing any gigs for now but it can always happen in the future ;-)

Thanks for your suggestions! :-)

Greg
